STEM Team East is an educational charity of 24 years standing. We are part of STEMNET, the national network for the promotion of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics – STEM. As part of our STEMNET contract we promote STEM enrichment by consultation and advice to all the schools in Cambridgeshire and Bedfordshire and we manage the STEM Ambassador Scheme. We have an established and respected position among the many STEM providers and have a wide network of links.
Through our contracts with other STEM stakeholders; notably the British Science Association, the Nuffield Foundation and the Design and Technology Association, we also work in Suffolk and Essex and so have reach to the majority of schools in the East of England.
We also organise STEM outreach activities, organise and run annual STEM Fairs, workshops for students, teacher CPD and large scale regional events. We work with 97 different STEM employers and almost 1,000 STEM professionals as STEM Ambassadors.
