STEM E-Directories

STEM Team East produce regular e-directories highlighting enrichment and enhancement schemes and activities provided by us at STEM Team East and by other local, regional and national organisations. In most cases activities are curriculum linked.

Cost of activities, events, schemes, workshops and consultations.

Costs are clearly set out against each entry in the e-directory. The great majority of schemes are funded by the organising body and so are available to schools at no cost. Any costing associated with STEM Team East events soley covers administration, resources and venue hire. There is no cost to a school for an Ambassador’s time.

Some schemes and organisation we promote and/or manage charge a fee. This money is collected by us but not set or received by us. Where a saving can be made, we pass it on to schools.

We have just entered a new round of contracts and, therefore, a new budget regime. Like so many other organisations we now operate on a reduced amount of funding and have new criteria to meet – there is much more accounting to be done and stricter rules on distribution and use of funds. Therefore you may find that we will be specifying a cost where previously there was none. This is mostly the case for Independent Schools as much funding is now specific to State Schools. We will, of course, continue to offer and invite Independent Schools to our events and workshops but for some there will be an associated cost. We will always advise on this in advance.
